At Core Sport, we take athletes from injury to peak performance with one-on-one physical therapy and sports performance training. It’s not enough to get athletes out of pain and back to the field – we know they need to return to sport stronger than pre-injury. Our physical therapists use cutting edge techniques and sports specific exercise to build strength, agility, and confidence. Our continuum of care model means we also offer strength & conditioning classes, personal training, and team training. Through this interdisciplinary approach, athletes of all ages can meet their sport-specific goals.
In spring of 2023, I committed to a backpacking trip to the Medicine Bow Mountains in Wyoming. It required that I could carry a 40 LB backpack for 3 1/2 miles up and down hills at an altitude of almost 11,000 feet. I quickly discovered I could not even carry a 25 lb backpack for a mile with no hills. / turned to Core Sport's Danny Misheck. I had a little less than 8 weeks to get in backpacking shape. Danny and I met for a workout at least once per week, and he set up workout guides for the days in between sessions. We focused on strengthening my back, abs, glutes and legs. / never would have been able to make that progress without the coaching and planning of Danny. The hiking was tough, especially with the altitude, but I did it!
